Aerangis seegeri #6870 outcross (approximately 25 seedlings per flask). Species: This species is found at elevations from sea level to 5000 ft as an epiphyte. It is found in the eastern Madagascar in coastal and highland mountains and humid eastern forests as well as on Ile Sainte Marie an island of the east coast. It was first described in 1983 and is still not widespread in cultivation. The mature leaves are less than 2” long and the inflorescece is about 10” long carrying 6 to 12 flowers that are 0.8” wide. Mine have bloomed in cultivation in the late spring. Culture: Because this species grows in a wide range of elevations, it should have some adaptabiliy to temperature ranges. It does well with good humidity and shade to moderate light. Regular water and fertilizer during the growing season. Summers are warm and wet while winters are cooler and drier. It doesn't need a hard, dry rest. Aerangis seegeri: I do not have images of the parents so show here some examples of the species from collections and one in situ in Madagascar.
